Tried And Tested: Quattro For Women

$

I don’t wax (yet) but I am a shaver J I love a good razor that gets right down to my skin, and cuts the grow back time. Nothing I hate more then stubble that is there almost the next day. I think come this Summer though, I will be getting my first leg wax and see where it goes from there. But for now here is a razor I will be using:

Quattro For Women
Price of the kit is $11.99, 4 pack refills are $14.49
Is the first high performance razor with four blades and soothing conditioning strips to keep legs looking smooth all year round. And for a limited time Quattro for Women will come with a free trendy gift-with-purchase lace design nail art stickers that last up to 10 days.

My favourite thing this year is cool, eye catching nails that don't chip and peel right away. From bright neon decals to glitter infused tips, bold racing stripes, and intricate stencilling, the world of nails knows no bounds. Now the much loved razor brand Schick is joining in on the hot trend with the release of their new and limited edition lace design nail art stickers.
I loved receiving this pack, as I have recently found a deep love for nail stickers. Being a mum to two girls that are just go, go, go I no longer have the time to spend ages on nail art (which is sad.) And I also find that for me having shorter nails, stickers last longer on then lacquers of polishes do.

Features of Quattro For Women:
·         Four ultra-thin blades with pivoting head that follow the contours of your body
·         Two conditioning strips with Acai Berry and Jojoba extracts for ultra moisturisation
·         Provides long lasting smoothness so you can skip a day or two
·         Solid metal handle covered by pink rubber with multiple finger rests and a rounded base for better grip
·         Shower hanger for easy storage
·         A stylish bathroom accessory
·         Fabulous limited edition nail art stickers inside the pack

Also another reason these guys have me sold is the fact that the razors are super sharp, and having four blades in the one razor makes it a better more gentle shave. And I don’t know if it is me or not but they also cut down closer to the skin, meaning regrowth takes longer and my shave actually lasts.
I also like the face there is titanium like bit and pieces on the razor making it heavier, so when it makes contact on your skin you don’t have to push. The weight on the head does all the hard work for you all I had to do was put the razor to my skin.
To begin with it takes a little getting used to from my old razor, but then it is a breeze to use. I LOVE the fact there are NO nicks or razor cuts J

Schick Quattro For Women with limited edition nail art stickers will be available at Woolworths, Coles, Priceline and pharmacies nationally until stocks last.

I have a super cute giveaway coming up and would love to share it all with you right now and let you know how you can enter J

Recently I jumped onto Betts Kids website which can be found here, and fell in love with so many pairs of their shoes. The reason why I had jumped onto their site is because I was sent a look book from their new collection and just needed to make a pair each my girls! I have been endlessly searching for shoes that fit my girls well and don’t give them sore feet or blisters. I know how bad it is when I get a blister or wear cheap shoes that hurt, so I could not imagine how it would be for the poor little ones.

Betts Kids is one of the largest children’s footwear chain in Australia, if not the biggest.  I think that it is super cute that the entire family can wear and be seen in Betts/ Betts Kids. I personally love the adult range, but can talk about that in another post as I want to focus on Betts Kids.

Betts Kids aim of offering parents and kids:
o  Quality footwear that is comfortable and long-lasting
o  The latest fashion looks
o  Specialty help and advice relating to fit and style
o  An environment that was fun for both parents and kids

Betts Kids and Baby, Beauty, Body & Beyond has come together and would love to offer two pairs valued at $100 each.  So this means there are two prizes here up for grabs valued at $100.

All you have to do is tell me in 25 WOL what pair of shoes from Betts Kids you would like to see on your child’s foot!

The winner can select a style and size they like from a lookbook that will be emailed to them.
So please leave your emails, so we can contact the winners J
One entry per household.
Competition closes 28th September 2013.
Open to Australian Residents ONLY.

Here is there website if you wanted to have a little look: http://www.bettskids.com.au

Tried and Tested: The Collective Yoghurt, it's MooooTastic

$

Now my family comes from Nooooww(New) Zealand, so any products I hear that have come from there I go out of my way to try.  I was born here in the land of Oz but often return to NZ to visit family and some friends over there. Although since having the girls I have not made a trip back there and missing it immensly. I think that is a main reason I like to try their products, so I feel there is always a little bit of NZ at home.
The Collective yoghurts come from happy cows who live on the island of natural wonder, Lord of the Rings film locations, fast ski slopes, gay marriage and some of the cleanest air in the world - made by our kiwi friends in New Zealand.

So when I was asked if I wanted to take part in a little trial by The Collective, I just could not resist and was jumping up and down like a child in a toy shop.

Greener pastures are just around the corner as The Collective’s new range of ridiculously tasty yoghurt have just recently launched into the shores of Australia.

This creamy dreamy yoghurt, available in convenient 170g tubs, offers a small taste of indulgence that is just perfect for an after dinner treat with flavours like Russian Fudge and Apple Crumble.

Meanwhile, The Collective’s fruity-inspired gourmet yoghurts; Rhubarb & Strawberry, and Passionfruit, will whisk you away to summer days as the ‘Friesian’ weather sets in and your belly starts to rumble.

The Collective yoghurts :

Contains live cultures including acidophilus, bifidus and casei
Free from the nasties; No added artificial colours or flavourings
Free of preservatives
Gelatine free
Vegetarian
Gluten-free
 Handcrafted
 … no bull!

I was lucky enough to sample all of the flavours that The Collective have on our shores so far, so below I have gone into detail on how much I loved or disliked the flavours (remember everyone’s tastebuds and preferences are different and this is my personal opinion and nobody else’s.

Russian Fudge
No conspiracy here, this age-old classic will take you right back to the school yard… it’s one wicked treat… decadent you say, Ho Byn!
When they say wicked they are certainly not wrong J I love chocolate, fudge and caramel and this is a perfect pair.. Although I am not to sure what the difference would be between Aussie Fudge and Russian fudge, but either way this was just great. I was not able to eat the entire tub though and was more then happy to share this with my partner who licked the tub clean.

Rhubarb and Strawberry
Strawberries; succulent and sweet, New Zealand rhubarb; crisp and tangy… together; a flavour that should only be described as a match made in heaven.
Now I can say I do know the difference between strawberry jam from Aus and from NZ. I have never had a jam that tastes like those you buy over in our sister country. This was my favourite yoghurt of the lot and taste just like jam, yoghurt and crispy biscuits all wrapped into the one tub! I went straight to my local Woolies to get myself some of this.. Only to find out they weren’t on the shelves yet haha IDIOT! Should read my releases a little better.

Passionfruit
Succulent in flavour, this is a yoghurt that delivers a kiss straight from the tropics. Seduce your tastebuds but not your waistline.
I didn’t personally review this item and instead handballed it off to the fat guts partner to have a crack! I know I can trust his opinion and he is more honest then the pope! I am not a big one for passionfruit in food, but I will eat them raw straight off the tree… But going by him this was super yummy and taste like they had taken a passionfruit straight off the tree and mixed it around with some yoghurt. Talking about their yoghurt, this is a quality of yoghurt unlike any other that has entered my mouth. I thought a previously reviewed yoghurt was the best thing EVER and could not be beaten… But it just has (sorry) This yoghurt should win an award or something!!

Apple Crumble
Fruity Fuji apple (from our grower in Nelson) and cinnamon… a flavour combo guaranteed to transport you to the ‘best pud’ moment. Guilt free, comfort food at its best.
One of the things I love about these yoghurts is when you hit the jam like fruit that is in these yoghurts. I don’t mix it up, but when I saw my partner eat the sample has mixed it all up and even added a little mixed muesli in there. But the apple crumble was lovely and it almost feels weird eating it cold as I am so used to eating apple crumble hot! Mmm but it doesn’t taste like cooked apple but more a fresh apple just pureed, but that may just be my tastebuds.

The Collective gourmet yoghurts as they are available in Victorian Woolworth’s stores as well as independent outlets - RRP $2.35 for a 170g tub.

Night Terrors with my 5 year old

$

My daughter is about to turn 5 and there are so many changes going on in her life. Like trying to get her head around the fact that she has a split family meaning she is lucky enough to have two Daddies who love her very much. I know this would be so confusing for her, as I went through it as a child and almost resented my mum for many of my younger years.

Then there is the fact that she no longer has me there all the time as she has started 4yo kinder, which is 4 days a week and is quite a lot for a little girl who still has after lunch naps.
And with kinder they are getting to know each other and sometimes the kids clash heads and have their little tiffs. Hails came home one day and was really sad. I asked her what was wrong and she told me that her friend Mikaela had a fight with her.. I asked her what do you mean a fight? She said an argument about headaches, which was a little bit strange to be honest and don’t know if this was the main reason. But again I explained to her that this is what happens sometimes and there are lots of kids at kinder that are more then happy to be your friends (after all were not here to please everyone on Earth.)

So if you have been following my blog you would know I have been dealing with some pretty full on night terrors with Hayley.
Last night I had a D&M with Hayley (5) who has had a lot running through her little mind. I did not know where this had come from and honestly did not know how to deal with it. I was starting to think I might need to take her to therapy or something like this as she was beginning to get scared of going to sleep.

Miss H’s imagination is absolutely phenomenal and unlike any little girls I have ever met or heard about. She is also a little sponge and anything that is said during the day she will dwell on and really think into it, sometimes even worrying herself.

I have learn to accept her being so imaginative and given her a big scrapbook to write down some of her thoughts and images in her head. Her pictures are so detailed and she is an amazing artist for a 5 year old. For example when she draws a person, everything is in proportion and even concentrates on the little details such as lashes and eyebrows. She is also a little perfectionist and will look at her picture afterwards and correct anything she think she may have missed.

But anyway back to the night terrors I had a good talk to her and it got really deep and really pulled at my heartstrings. I asked her why she thinks these bad dreams are coming to her. She told me she was all alone (in her room.) She used to share with her little sister but then Hayley got a bunk and it was a little unsafe for Madison to be staying in there as she was getting up into the bunk and stuff.
But then I started to think about it and realised that maybe it is some kind of separation anxiety or something, not having her sister in her room like she used to. Now Madison is old enough to know not to climb up there I decided to move Madison’s single bed back into Hayley’s room for the night to see how they went.

Now I don’t know if it was a fluke or that this may have been what it was, because Hayley did not wake up once nor did she cry. It was however a little tricky as Madison who is only two still wakes up twice crying for a bottle (which we are weaning her off now.) But to my surprise it did not wake Hails up once.  I do however think it would have been funny to watch me bolt down that hallway like the next Usain Bolt to get to their room at the other end of their hallway before Madison woke Hails up with her cries. I think these sisters just needed each other at night again as they weren't used to being alone in an empty room :-) Which I don't mind as long as they aren't up playing until midnight, as they will become super close sisters.

I will see how this goes and keep you guys posted on my progress J

2nd August 2013= Jeans for Genes Day

Jeans for Genes Day is more than an excuse to wear your favourite pair of jeans; it’s an initiative to raise much-needed funds for children’s medical research. So that is why today my whole family (except for Daddy as he need work pants) have popped on our favourite jeans to support this day and all those little kiddies.
Being a mum, I know how important it is to give our kids the best shot at life. Luckily (touch wood) my girls have never had anything worse then gastro, but I know there are many families out there that cannot say the same thing.
Established in 1994 and in it’s 20th year, Jeans for Genes® proudly supports Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), a pioneer in the field of paediatric medical research.
Merchandise can be found at supporting retailers and workplaces across the country helping to raise much needed funds and awareness for the Children’s Medical Research Institute. Im in need of some nappies, well not me but my youngest daughter. So  I shall be heading to a store that supports Genes Day and buy the girls and myself some merchandise.
Every dollar raised for Jeans for Genes Day will help bring tomorrow’s treatments and cures closer - so get involved in 2013! Make a difference and Register for Jeans for Genes day.

Toiletries/Aftershave/Bathroom Care For Him
If you like making little hampers for Daddy like we do in this home then these are perfect fillers, or even great by themselves. I know when all else fails and I run out for gift ideas I head straight for the perfume or aftershave isle, you just can't go wrong.

Head & Shoulders Total Care 3in1 200ml - RRP $5.99
Developed to remove the daily dirt and dust build-up on the hair and scalp through deep cleaning, head & shoulders Total Care 3in1 cleans, conditions and protects the hair from dandruff allowing for easy styling and manageability.
A great cheap present or filler that you just cannot go wrong with. Although I would be careful buying this for some Daddie’s as they may take offence haha. I know when I first got some of this sent to Mr. M for review I caught him in the bathroom scratching his head to see if there were any white flakes fly and fall, low and behold there was! He has not stopped using this since.
Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio Pour Homme EDT 100ml Set- $145

Acqua Di Gio cologne for men, made by Giorgio Armani, was launched in 1995. This fragrance for men contains a blend of marine notes, mandarin, bergamot, neroli, persimmon, rosemary, nasturtium, jasmine, amber and patchouli. This mens fragrance is a fresh and lifestyle concept with the coolness and transparency of a tropical paradise.

If there is on scent for Men that makes me almost weak at the knees it is this one. It is so masculine, and just a full smell that lasts up until you have a shower and wash your clothes. I think this will be one of the things the girls buy their Daddy.

Man Of Steel Eau de Toilette 100mL $19.99

The fragrance suggests empowerment, masculinity and understated attraction. “Man of Steel” is water- based, with heady notes of mandarin, bergamot and neroli, and toned with rosemary, nasturtium, jasmine and sea notes and has base notes of Moroccan cedar, sensual patchouli, white musk and amber.
To me this scent smells just like the one I have spoken about above, which is a massive compliment for a budget Eau de Toilette. I would be more then happy to buy this for either my dad or my partner, and I know they would be happy to. My partner has previously reviewed this aftershave and it is safe to say it has his tick of approval. One thing that threw me back a little is how long this aftershave actually last. I sprayed it on my hand and it stayed there for a decent amount of time, even after washing my hands.
Available in BigW, Target, Woolworths and selected Pharmacies
Thalgo Shaving Gel 100ml RRP- $37.00
This creamy gel optimises razor glide and rinses away easily while preserving skin softness. It has a protective and purifying action, and minimises razor burn.
There will be a review of this coming in Daddie’s Corner, but I now just from first impressions this will be a shaving cream my partner continue to buy and use.

American Crew 3-IN-1 – RRP $32.95

Ideal for the time-poor or lazy dads, this convenient all-in-one product is developed for everyday use and incorporates shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the one bottle – it’s a no brainer Father’s Day gift! Made with sage extract, 3-in-1 works to moisturise and soothe the scalp whilst providing natural moisture to soften, detangle and add shine to hair.

There will also be a review of this to follow in Daddies Corner. But when first opening this bottle I loved the masculine scent and will be much better then him using my girly, pretty smelling shampoo. Plus he never uses Conditioner as he just can’t be bothers, so this is great it does all that and more in one bottle.

Clothing and Shoes
You can never go wrong with some item of clothing or pair of shoes when it comes to men. They are usually pretty easy going and like to wear what you like on them, but if they don’t then you see their style and what they like so much you should know items they would love. So here is a compile of some things I know my kids Dad or my Dad would like.

Havaianas Sketch, grey $24.99

I don’t think there is a male out there that doesn’t wear thongs in Summer. This is all both my Dad and my partner (the girls dad) wears in the hotter weather, to be honest I don’t blame them. I love my Havi’s and we are quite a Havaianas Family here.
There are so many nice new styles out at the moment but these would have to be my favourite for Mr. M, so much so I will be buying these for his giant feet.

Milu- Curtis Boot RRP $169.00

A classic chukka boot is every man’s must-have. Dress it up with a suit for the office, and keep it working after hours with jeans. Lacing adds a fun pop sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Mr. M (the kids dad) does not own a pair of boots and I think he would really suit them and look very sophisticated in them, especially these. I know personally I never wore boots until being sent them earlier in the year, and now in Winter you seriously cannot get them off my feet. I think it is a leap Mr. M is yet to take, but if I have any say in it he will J

Lu Smith Street Shirt- $59.00

What man doesn’t love a good shirt, (especially one that fits just right). Smith Street has just launched a new collection of stylish shirts your dad will love. You can’t go wrong with plaid or check– pair either with jeans for Sunday casual or dress it up with a blazer and suit pants for business ready. Choose from bold colours or more classic combinations. Smith Street Shirts are available in sizes S to 3XL.
Again, another shirt I just could not go past. This is very much in my price range when it comes to Father’s Day shopping and one I will be considering. Plus you can do your Father’s Day shopping from the comfort of your home with this one ;P Too easy!!
mberjack Twill L/S Shirt
Calico Canvas
Superdry Lumberjack Twill Shirt RRP $129.95

Superdry men's Lumberjack shirt in 100% cotton twill. The classic check lumberjack shirt. This shirt features twin chest pockets, back logo stud and Superdry pocket logo patch.

My Mr. M loves his checkered shirts and I really do love them on him also. I think this would make a great gift for a lot of fathers out there from young Dad’s to your older fashionable ones.

Jack London Black Suit RRP- $508 (in a bundle.)

Black Mod Suit Jacket. Wool. Notched 'mod' lapel, chest pocket, two flap pockets, four button cuffs, single back vent, fully lined. Single button closure

Black Suit Pant. Wool. Slanted side pockets, double-jet back pockets, belt loops. Button closure with hook & bar, zip fly. 100% wool

No Daddy should go without a nice good quality suit, and that is exactly what you will get from Jack London. I know this is a little too pricey for me and our Dad will not be getting one of these unfortunately, but I am sure there will be Mummies out there on the lookout for a nice suit on Father’s Day.

Electrical/ Home & Other
Some great products that your Dad will be sure to love and use often. A couple of these are high up on my shopping list for the Daddie’s in my life. I have my Dad, my step-dad and also my partner who is a Daddy to buy for this year. So for me it can be a very expensive day of the year haha. But I have popped a couple of items then should be good for different budgets.

Lavazza A Modo Mio Premium Milk by Electrolux Coffee Machine – RRP $299.00

The A Modo Mio coffee machines and capsules are available from the following retailers: Myer, David Jones, Harvey Norman, Matchbox, Beyya Home Living, The Good Guys, JB HiFi.

Why wouldn’t you be sneaky and buy this bad boy, then you can also use it when you need a coffee fix.. Or you might even be able to persuade the hubby to make you one with his new toy :-P But in all seriousness I know there are some real coffee loving men out there that would love this in the kitchen. If I don’t get this for Fathers Day  then I know I certainly will work on getting it down the track.

DéLonghi PrimaDonna XS fully-automatic coffee machine RRP $1999.00

The most discerning coffee lover can replicate the café experience at home with the latest offering by DéLonghi; the fully automatic, slimline PrimaDonna XS. Revolutionising the at-home coffee experience, the completely redesigned internal frame of the PrimaDonna XS from DéLonghi, and resulting compact build, makes it one of the most kitchen-friendly products from the leading coffee machine brand, yet. At just 19.5cm wide, it is the perfect coffee machine for snug city apartments and small kitchens!

Now this is for those serious coffee lovers, and them Mum’s and daughters that have the coin to spend. I wish I could buy this for my partner (and maybe me haha.) But I thought I would pop in a low budget coffee machine and also a more upper market coffee machine, which I am just in love with.

JBL Charge- RRP: $199.99

Along with phenomenal audio playback for a speaker of its size, the JBL Charge lets you recharge external devices such as your iPhone on-the-go, making the JBL Charge the ultimate portable speaker for outdoor entertaining and active lifestyles.
Stockists: Apple, JB Hi-FI, Harvey Norman and David Jones.

Now my partner is a battery killer when it comes to his beloved iPhone. When he goes out he is a stress head worrying that his phone is going to die and a lot of the time it does before he can call for a lift home (which is good for me haha.) He loves his music, he loves his iPhone so I think this would have to be a match made in heaven!!!

Edge of Belgravia Ceramic Onyx Santoku Knife RRP: $88.00

The Ceramic Onyx Santoku comprises a santoku style blade, famous for its "three virtues": slicing, dicing and mincing. The ceramic blade stays sharp for years without need for sharpening. Expertly engineered for slicing fresh fish or chopping crispy vegetables, the Onyx Santoku is a lightweight, razor-sharp knife designed to improve separation and reduce cutting friction.

I was debating whether or not I would pop this in here, then I decided for. It got me thinking and getting creative with my gifts, because I didn’t think too much into it before this. I thought if I bought this, then it may just encourage him to get more into cooking and take over a little in the kitchen J Or I could end up with a new knife so it is a win-win situation.

Glen Grant 10 YO Scotch Whisky RRP: $59.95.

Now what would a Gift guide be without including some alcohol in there? I don’t really like putting alcohol and my Dad in the one sentence as my dad has quite a problem with alcohol and would NEVER buy it for him! But on the other hand my partner loves a good drop of alcohol and is very responsible with his drinking. I know this would be enough to make a lot of Dad’s happy !

 Stockists: 1800 856 939 / 02 9478 2727

The Royal Baby and The Royal GIVEAWAY

$
0
0

I know I may be a little late with this post, but I have just been soo busy and all tied up. I don't want to go into to much details but juggling my health issues and motherhood is very time consuming and sometimes I get a little caught up. But I thought I should post this up today as it is the day Will and Kate have finally registered their little baby as George J

This bloody Royal Baby has gone and got me all cluckly.. but then reality hits and I think of all the sleepless nights, feeling all sick and gross during pregnancy and not looking one little bit like Kate Middleton.  So the baby can wait for now!

I will confess I was one of those crazy women that kept checking twitter every hour or so to check on the progress and birth and all that shizzle. I was kind of hoping Kate would actually have a little girl and make history, but that just did not happen! If only it was as easy when it came to picking the sex of your child.. I can see what will happen in the future though, it is becoming more and more easier to pick the sex I think one day they will make a tablet that the male take before doing the deed and it will make only certain sex sperms make there way through the tunnel and meet up with that sexy little egg…. Ok enough of the sex talk and back on topic (that was quite awkward!)

But the lovely parents we were given a little boy. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their baby son..
George Alexander Louis.
The name stems from a huge line of previous loyalty and I think it is tradition to carry on names!

I also think it is fantastic to see that they will be very hands on parents, and that the beautiful Will changed George’s first every dirty nappy. Lets face it, I don’t think the Queen even knows what a nappy or diaper looks like. So I think it is amazing that Kate and Will have said that they will be very hands on, and I think I heard a rumour that Kate does not even want a Nanny (WOOHOO Mummy.)

So to celebrate the birth of little George Alexander Louis, who will one day be known as King George VII. I have a couple of amazing prize packs to give away worthy of any Royal Baby out there!

But before I go into details on the competition I need to send a massive THANK YOU to the brands and people that have made this giveaway possible J This is HUGE and well and truly worth the entry.
Tommee Tippee Miomee- http://miomee.com.au
Johnsons Baby Products-http://www.jnj.com.au

I would also like to make note that there will be a post coming for Tommee Tippee Miomee’s products as I just cant get enough of these and would love to go into a little more depth and information on them!! I know EXACTLY what products I will be using when the next little munchkin comes along.

So all you need to do is tell me in 25 WOL Why you little Prince/Princess needs to WIN this HUGE pack worthy of any Royal?

CARN THE MIGHTY THE ROOS!!!

Finally playing a full 4 quarters and bringing home a HUGE unexpected win for us J If only we had have been playing like this all those rounds ago, we might be sitting nicely on the ladder!!
To top it off before the game began, I had a beer at LiveWire at Etihad Stadium. And 10mins before the bounce the announce a winner of the Carlton Draught MiniBar, which is pretty much your own private bar with all you can eat, and all you can drink (beer, wine, softy THE LOT.) Well anyway there were two re-draws and then all of a sudden I heard my name get called out Then I thought to myself ‘Ohh god PLEASE don’t try to pronounce my last name’ So I quickly popped my hand out and made a power walk to the bar.

This is when our very own bar tender escorted us to our bar and stayed there giving us all the drinks and food we could want. And let me tell you for 8 people A LOT of food and alcohol made it to the bar. Lets just say, no kids, a big win and the night got messy!

But anyway, I had a good feeling for some reasons about winning tonight (maybe mothers instinct for my baby Roos J ) So I thought I would get in the spirit and put my new AFL Nails pack to use.

Finally there is a nail polish brand out there that has teamed up with AFL  and made nail polish kits for us footy loving girls.
I have bought endless amounts of polish to try and match them with my footy Guernsey.

The brand that has take the first bounce is Ulta3
So now you can show your true team colours and spirit with:

Ulta3’s Official AFL Fan Nails
Each pack is only RRP $9.95
Get behind your team by painting your nails with your team colour. No matter what team you barrack for there is a fan nails pack for you!
Each ulta3 AFL Fan Nails pack includes 3 official team colours, as well as nail tip guides and an AFL emery board. Everything you need to create your perfect AFL look will be at the tip of your fingers now that the footy season is really heating up!

I think the reason why Ulta3 is much loved by us Aussie’s is because it is a good formula and lasts a decent amount of time. But I think the main reason it is loved by us Aussie’s is because of the simple fact Ulta3 has made their nail polishes so affordable.

Ulta3 has kicked a big pill straight through the sticks with this one and straight on par with target. I love these packs and if I weren’t such a die-hard North Melbourne supporter I would collect them all.

Supporters can now show their team spirit in a fun and fashionable way on game day with their “footy tips” fingernails painted in their team colours and nail art looks.

Here is a really cool bit of fact I was sent, and wanted to share with you!
Caitlin Keaney, brand manager for ulta3, says “it’s amazing that nobody has thought of this before. Females currently account for over 40% of current AFL or club members, over 40% of game day attendees and make up more than 43% of those who watch footy on television each week. Plus there are over 100,000 females who play the game around the country. We’re glad we can give all these women their own special way of showing their true colours!”

Footy “tipping” has taken on a new meaning thanks to ulta3’s AFL Fan Nails.

Stockists include selected pharmacies, AFL stores, and Club Merchandising stores. AFL Fan Nails are also available in participating Supermarkets and Mass market retailers .

Pizza Masterclass

Last night I went to Italy without evening having to board a plane or ship or even take a step out of this country!!
I did of course only land in Southbank to a Pizza Masterclass thanks to Keep Left and all their amazing clients.

They are super cute and set up a little Italian laneway style romantic dinner setting, with backdrop and all. Then to the left they had all the clients set up and ready to talk to you and teach you everything there is to know about their goodies. Then further down we were greeted to a table loaded with lots of fresh goods ready for our pizza J And just to the left of that there was a little kitchen with benches all set up! Where your ears were greeted with Italian music and your nose was greeted with the smell of fresh produce!!

To begin with we were invited into the viewing room where the first thing I could smell were fresh mushrooms, with the light linger of salami.

But here is where we got to meet those brands that we would work with on the Masterclass. These brands were:
Woolworths which included- Bertocchi, Costas (who supply Woolies with their Mushrooms.
Perfect Italiano (Which you can find in Woolies.)
Leggo’s  Sauces and pesto’s (which you can also find in Woolies.)
Baker Delight- Who supplied the Pizza Bases for the night.
Bertocchi (Woolworths) Who supplied all our meat and yummies.
And then of course my favourite Dan Murphy’s- Who supplied the alcohol.

The first brand I want to talk about is the Perfect Italiano cheese. The reason for wanting to talk about this brand first is because at the start of the cooking class
Tasty vs mozzarella... Never using tasty on a pizza or in cooking full stop as in the demo the oil just drops off. And basically turns to plastic, where as the Mozzarella turns creamy and string like those you see in restaurants.  Perfect Italiano also have some truly amazing Parmesan products, and a nifty little parmesan grater that you pop your block of parmesan straight into, which I thought was pretty cool!  I was also taught a really tasty trick and that was to mix some pesto through your mushrooms to get a real full flavour.

The Dan Murphy’s tastings with Peter Nixon, were super tempting and I was regretting not leaving my keys at home.. I started with a glass of
P.Louis Martin Brut Champagne
Now this is a champagne I could easily sip on all day (If I could keep my feet hehe.) So smooth and crisp with no bitter after taste. I have only recently taken a liking to Champagne so I have really been starting from the el cheapo up. But now I am not too sure how I will be sipping anything other then this champagne. So classy and so delicious and was paired nicely with my Pizza.
There were also lots of other beers and wine to choose from there, but I could not stray away from the Champagne.

The Leggo’s setup had me very intrigued as they had a bunch of super cute blow up cherry tomato’s above the stall.. But then I saw the amazing products, and learnt so much about their range and how to use certain sauces. The favorites from this stand were definitely the pesto’s as you can add them to just about anything, or even eat them as they are on a cold meat platter.

Ok, now I have never in my life met a more work passionate person then Jim the Tall Texan Mushroom man. He is from Costa’s who supply all Woolworth’s with their yummy amazing mushrooms.
I know I may start some controversy here but I will never in my life peel my mushrooms after speaking with Jim. Before last night I would religiously peel my mushrooms, as the brown skin did not appeal to me one little bit. Then I found out that this is where all the vitamin D and nutrients are The skin is what can help prevent prostate cancer in men and breast cancer in women J I am so glad to have met an amazing man so passionate about his mushies. PS- Mushrooms are not grown in shit but actually grown in wood or straw.

Ok now I am going to tell you something I know not many people knew about (inc me.)
Bakers Delight sells Pizza bases WHAT THE!!! How did I not know this, and why have I never seen it before.
They come in a pack of two and are so thick and yummy, and make for the perfect Pizza. I think for my daughters 5th birthday we are just going to have a Pizza party, where we pop all ingredients on the table. And the guests can create their own pizzas and try how delicious these bases are. They are also very filling, after only eating three pieces of my home made pizza I seriously could not fit anything else in my belly.

I almost forgot a very yummy supplier to Woolworths and that was the delicious Bertocchi.
This is one of the first things I could smell when I walked in the door, and was instantly drawn straight to the little setup where we were invited to sample their cold meats. I found a new love, and that was pancetta (hence the reason I used it on my pizza.) But I did learn of all the ways that the meat was cured and how it turns out the way it does. I never used to be much of a savoury person and stuck to my sweets and cakes. But now that has totally changed and I am not much of a sweet person, and love my cold meats, cheeses and dips.

It was so much fun being able to connect with my inner messy chef and create my very own pizza without sticking to any recipes and there were NO RULES. I will also be investing in a little stone Pizza Oven as they cooked my pizza in just under 6 minutes and cooked it better then any oven.

One last thing I would love to add before letting you know what I popped on my pizza were the beautiful boards, pizza cutters and Rolling Pin supplied by Maxwell and Willaims. They are not a client (YET) of Keep Left but added a beautiful touch to the  Pizza Masterclass.  It was so funny cutting a pizza ,while you watched the little smiley face printed onto the cutter roll around and sink into the pizza and then pop back out again.

How to re-create my Pizza

1 Pizza Base from Bakers Delight  (rolled out to thin.)
Large handfull of Mozzarella cheese
2 Tablespoons of Perfect Italiano Ricotta
4 strips of thinly cut Pancetta thanks to Bertocchi
3x Woolworth’s Cherry tomatoes
Small Handfull of Woolworth’s Spinach
2x Leaves Woolworth’s fresh Basil
4x Woolworth’s/Costa’s Button mushrooms
Half a Cup of Caramalised onions
Half a fresh brown onion
2 tablespoons of Tomato paste
Half a Fresh capsicum

There are not many steps to this. All I did was pop the paste on the base, then throw the ingredients on top and top it off with Mozzarella cheese MMMmmm

There were so many amazing ingredients thanks to all of Keep Left’s beautiful clients to pop on our pizza and I would have been more then happy to make a tower of Pisa pizza :-p except I already struggled to eat what I made, so for me that would have been a waste L

Tried And Tested: COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation
RRP $19.95

We all know that the secret to making foundation last all day long is to use a primer to set the base, a concealer underneath your foundation to cover your problem areas and a foundation to perfect the look, but that seems like a lot of layers on the skin...

COVERGIRL’s latest foundation, created with Flexi-Hold Polymer technology, combines a primer, concealer and foundation, all in one handy bottle. Designed to Stay Fabulous all day, the formula also includes SPF, is dermatologically tested, suitable for sensitive skins and is oil free so it wont clog pores.

I found that after so long this started to go blotchy on my skin no matter what I did. But with saying that the first 3 hours, it looks amazing and feels light and flawless as well.  It is three in one, which is another bonus because now I don’t have to carry around 3 products as they have been combined into one.

Now I have to be completely honest with my reviews and to be completely and truly honestly I think this foundation is more targeted for the younger girls. This is not a negative either, as products have all different targeted age groups. I know take it back about 10years when I was a teen, I would have happily bought this and loved it to death. The thing that would have sold it for me back then was the price tag.

I also like this packing quite a lot and think it is a big step from their old stuff.

Often on packing they will advise you to use a foundation brush or sponge to apply your makeup, but one thing I have found while trying out foundation is you can never get a natural finish like the one you get when using your hands.

I will use this bottle until the end, but I don’t think it is something I would go out of my way and buy! But one thing it does work well with and I actually LOVE is mixing this with my moisturiser to create a perfect tinted moisturiser that really does cover them blemishes.

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation is available in 6 shades at Priceline, Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Target, Big W and selected pharmacies from 1st June 2013.

Review- Hot Shoe Shuffle

Hot Shoe Shuffle

When I first saw this I thought to myself, ‘Umm, I don’t think I will go to this one as it is just not up my alley.’ If I had listened to myself I would have actually been kicking myself in the head.
Last night I lost my standing ovation virginity J this is the first show I have been to that was a standing ovation for me. I have been to some big shows like King Kong, Legally Blonde, Warhorse and more but yet this was the first time a cast got me to my feet at the end of the show.

I found myself throughout the night tapping my hands on my knees, or finding my feet tapping away (it really is contagious.)

Hot Shoe Shuffle tells a story of the Seven Tap Brothers, Spring(Bobby Fox), Slap(Morgan Junor-Larwood), Buck(Rob Mallet), Wing(Mitchell Hicks), Tip(Alexander Kermond), Tap(Max Patterson) and Slide(Mason) who learn of the death of their long-absent father, who has left them millions of dollars. The only catch is that they have to perform his legendary ‘Act’ The Hot Shoe Shuffle. But not only that they have to include their “Sister” April, who before seeing them in the lawyers office they had never even heard of.

Spring had his doubts from the very beginning of April and thought she was just a gold digger after her share in their Dad’s inheritance. And to make matters worse April has two left feet and has no beat what so ever, I think even her heart would beat irregular to be honest. This put a huge rift in April and Spring’s relationship although the other 6 brothers loved her and would have tried their moves had she not been their sister. Buuuuuutttt (If you are wanting to watch this show LOOK AWAY.) April is to loyal and cannot lie to this boys that she has only heard stories of all her life, so she comes clean telling the boys she isn’t their sister but the daughter of one of their Dad’s performers from back in the day.

They have kept it as much to the old Broadway show, down to the props, costumes and all. At the start of the show I had a flick through the program to get a little low-down on what was to come, and the program had original photos from the original show. Then when I was watching the show, I actually thought it was this cast and had to double check with the photos to see if my eyes were deceiving me, but sure enough they weren't. This was one thing I really loved about this show, that you were taken back in time and watching a show probably my mum and grandmother had watched!

My jaw dropped to the ground and I found myself gasping, whoahing and oohing all through the show. Their tap skills were absolutely phenominal and the choreography was PERFECT, and not a step out of place. To begin with I thought that the tap noises were actually fake or pre-recorded. But as I really paid attention to the moves and sounds I realised that in fact that were the real deal and something like I have never seen before in my life. I cannot go past April’s (Jaz Flower) voice, I was actually taken away at her pitch and voice control. There were parts throughout the show where there was no background music and it was just her voice, and I must say she was perfect in every single way. Her outfits towards the end of the show were absolutely glamorous and very much in the 40’s era.

Featuring hits from the 1940s including  Long Ago & Far Away, I Get Along Without You Very Well, Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off, Shall We Dance, Puttin’ On The Ritz, I Got A Gal In Kalamazoo, I Don’t’ Mean A Thing and Mood Indigo. Teaming the hits with a stellar cast, Hot Shoe Shuffle is finally performed in the tradition of the best Broadway musicals.

Afterwards we were very lucky enough to be invited across the roads to Bobby McGee’s which is an absolutely PERFECT place to take a Hot Shoe Shuffle after party to, as it fits right in with the era.

I was surprised at how lovely all the boys and Jaz were, and how much they wanted to make conversations with you and really genuinely get to know you! This was a money cannot buy experience that I will cherish for as long as I live and tell to everybody that will listen. Not to mention I walked away with a fully signed program.

My Heavenly Clean House

$

Today I found myself running around the house cleaning like I was nesting or something (NO, I am not pregnant.) But who would have thought that when you are sent cleaning product, it would motivate you to clean… I wouldn’t mind if someone would send me a maid in the mail haha.

But I was sent a Heavenly Home pack from the beautiful Sascha ( I wont say where from.) After cleaning the house my house smelt heavenly and there was not a germ left on any surface I don’t think.

The first product that was in my heavenly home pack was:

Ajax Spray n Wipe Multipurpose Wipes 40pack tub. RRP $4.99
You can refill these with your choice of Antibacterial or Long Lasting Fragrance. I gave both of these guys a crack (with the help of my daughter who loves to help clean the house.) I like using the antibacterial in the kitchen, for that piece of mind and for the fact that food prep is done on the benches. And for the rest of the house I love using the Long Lasting Fragrance as it just leaves the house smelling beautiful and for a prolonged amount of time to. And its not a perfume smell or anything like that but more a fresh clean Apple smell, like that you smell when you walk into a hotel.

I have a laundry hoarding problem and whenever I see powder or softener on special I feel inclined to buy it (even if I don’t need it!!) So when these came I gave a little shriek as I had seen them on the shelf but was never on special so I never got around to purchasing either of them.

Cold Power Sensitive Touch 1L Liquid rrp $9.99 and also the Cold Power Sensitive Touch 1kg Powder $9.99
Now I have used some cold power product before and loved it as I did not have to waste any of my hot water on the washing machine. And my clothes came out cleaner then ever. This stuff is exactly the same as the normal Cold Power except there is no smell and it doesn’t irritate the skin. We have recently found out that our youngest gets irritated skin really easily and have to be super careful what we use on her skin and washing products. She broke out in a horrible rash that almost looked like bleeding eczema, all because I used a powder that smelt amazing L I wash all her clothes separate from ours now and use this stuff. I prefer the liquid as no matter what there is never any residue and I find it is a deeper clean.

Cuddly Magic Moments in Rosy Love 800mL
Is what I use with the Cold Power to make our (not Madisons) clothes smell divine. When I use this product I find that my entire house smells, as it just lingers out of the laundry and that is with the door closed. I would love to try the other scents in this as I love the Rose scent but don’t know it would be my favourite. My clothes come out super soft when using this and it is best used with towels. It keeps them fluffy and soft and not hard and crunchy like my previous “softener” did!

And then came the huge pile of dishes that had been calling my name all morning.. DREAD! I hate dishes and I think I really need to invest in a dishwasher as the whole hand washing dishes kills me. I will have to wait until our new kitchen is put in though, which could be a while (waaaah.)  Anyway when I do hand wash my dishes I like a product where I don’t have to use much liquid and a product that doesn’t leave my dishes slimy and full of product. So this is where Sascha sent me:

Palmolive Ultra Concentrate 750mL $4.99 in antibacterial lemon, but you can get this is four other variants: Original, Zesty Lemon & Lime and Soothing Aloe Very Dry Skin. The Aloe Vera wouldn’t do anything for me anyway as I wash my dishes with gloves on, as it has taken a toll on my poor nails and cuticles. But I need literally two drops of this product in a sink full of steaming hot water to get my dishes sparkling. One thing I did notice with Palmolive is when my wine glass dried off after being washed I was left with a sparkling, squeaky (literally), clean glass. I love the results I got with this dishwashing liquid and think I will continue to buy it (until I get my dishwashers of course.)

So now my house is nice and clean and smelling nice, I just have to sit back and wait to do it all again tomorrow after the little “angels” turn the house upside and create more work for Mummy. This makes me tired just thinking about it haha.

Tried and Tested: Sally Hansen- Fuzzy Coat

What do I do on a day like this you ask.....?

My nails of course :-) Lately I have been quite obsessive over my nails, and getting some colours onto them that I would not usually wear. But the polishes that add texture to my nails really get me intrigued. There are so many different types out on the market these days such as velvet nails, sand nails, crackle nails, caviar nails and of course the fuzzy nails.
This is where Sally Hansen has jumped on board with their Fuzzy Coat.

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat is $9.95
Imagine textured nails with 3D fabric finishes in a flash! Transform your manicure with Sally Hansen’s newest nail innovation: Fuzzy Coat Textured Nail Color.
Taking inspiration from the strong textural themes at the latest runway shows, Sally Hansen has developed a new, exclusive special effect formula that makes nails the focal point of any look. The breakthrough formula goes where no nail color has gone before, creating eye-catching optical effects and adding lust-worthy texture to your manicure. Blurred, woven and marbled fiber looks resembling hand-spun yarn are combined in a multidimensional network of color to create a matte finish with a fibered texture effect.
When I tried out these nail colors, it actually played tricks on my eyes. My eyes found it hard to focus on them and did come across fuzzy. When the nail polish dries it also shrinks bringing up the strips of colour in there creating that texture feeling.
I was sent a few different colours and my standout favourite was certainly the Tight Knit, which is a blue and white colour. I think the reason I like this is because it is my AFL teams colour, although after this weekend I am not to sure I can wear them proudly so I might stick to the Wool Lite shade, which is a pretty pink and goes with everything!
It is funny though, no matter how much I tell myself to leave my nails alone. I cannot help but touch them and feel how strange and rigid they feel! These are also great for my nails, as at the moment I am fighting some ugly nail ridges haaha!
I also love that there are no rules with this polish and you can easily mix and match them to change the colour and finish up :- I actually have quite a lot of fun doing this to be honest. I have popped above my favourite combo, which I used Fuzz-Sea and Tight Knit.  Another thing I will add is how quickly these polishes dry, although you need to really let them rest or else the texture will wipe right off (can be a little deceiving.)
The three polishes I was sent for review were:

Tight Knit- Which has green and a light yellow shade of strips throughout it.

Fuzz-Sea- Which is my North Melbourne polish having blue and white strips throughout it. I love this polish so much and know it will be used right to the last drop.
Wool Lite- Which is the pink I love to wear with everything J It is a light baby pink colour and is one I will be wearing to my friends baby shower this weekend, as she is having a girl!

HOW TO USE IT: Shake gently and apply 2-3 thin coats. Fuzzy Coat can be used alone or on top of any Sally Hansen Nail Colour. I only had to use two coats and I found I liked that look a lot. I also love putting one layer of colour on my nails and then the fuzz coat on top, it makes for a really pretty, different look.
Fuzzy Coat Textured Nail Color is available in 7 beautifully textured shades: Wool Lite, All Yarned Up, Peach Fuzz, Tight Knit, Fuzz-Sea, Wool Knot & Tweedy.
Available 1st August from Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Target, Kmart, Terry White Chemists, Chemist Warehouse and independent pharmacies nationally.

Tried And Tested and LOVED: Perfumed Jewelry

I have found the perfect accessory for me! Going to events and shows I am often making a bathroom pit-stop, not to go toilet but just to spruce myself up with perfume.
But now I no longer need to spruce my perfume up. I can proudly say, I can actually even leave my perfume bottle at home, which also means my bag doesn’t weigh me down as much anymore!!

Perfumed Jewellery is a NEW Australian owned product which combines the unique combination of authentic brand name perfumes and fashionable jewellery to create a beautiful lust-have product or gift.

With over 2,000 perfume and design combinations available, there is something to reflect every woman’s unique style and personality.

So what it is, is a really adorable pendant that opens up and you can pop your scents rocks in there. The thing I love about this concept is the fact that you can change your perfume up without having to change your jewelry.  But if you want to change up the pendant you can easily buy a new one!

There are two different charms to pick from in gold and 6 in Silver, both come with chains.
Gold Charm’s are $210.00
Silver Charm’s are $140.00

I was sent the silver Passion pendant in Princess- Vera Wang.

The main thing that surprised me is how many scents you can actually choose from and I do believe the list continues to grow! I can honestly say there is a scent for EVERYONE in there. Although it is tricky to pick one when you only know them by name, and have never actually worn the scent. Luckily for me there were loads of my favourite perfume’s in there so it was easy.. Well actually pretty hard deciding which one I actually wanted.

The chain on this is also right up my alley, I was a little worried that it would be a short neck chain that ended up sitting on my collarbone line.. But it was a nice long one, like the rest of the jewelry I usually wear.
I have been asked three times what perfume I was wearing, as it smelt really beautiful! Only to tell those people I had none on. They were puzzled until I continued my sentence saying it wasn't a perfume but more my jewelry giving off that smell!

Megan Gale- My girl crush

A BIG HUGE CONGRATS TO L'Oréal Paris for the re-signing of Megan Gale as the Australian Face of L’Oréal Paris

Now I am sure every women out there has a girl crush, or a girl they only wished they could look and be like. For me there are two people- Miranda Kerr and also Megan Gale. Everything about her is perfect, and I don't think she is your anorexic kind of model, but rather a good healthy body.

So I got very excited when I heard that Megan Gale had re-signed with L'Oreal Paris as the brand’s face and ambassador in Australia. I think that is something that L'Oreal would be very proud of, to hold such a huge ambassador like that for so long.  Usually with brands you see faces come and go and always looking for different faces for their brands.

Megan joined the L’Oréal Paris family in 2011 and is the first Australian face of the world’s number one beauty brand.   Aside from her obvious beauty, Megan brings her signature humour, warmth, elegance, charisma and credibility to the L’Oréal Paris brand.

Over the past two years with L’Oréal Paris, Megan has been the face of several major product campaigns – including Elvive Total Repair 5 and Revitalift Total Repair 10 - and has beautifully represented at events both in Australia and abroad including the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the Cannes Film Festival.

As the Australian face of L’Oréal Paris, Megan stands alongside some of the world’s most beautiful, talented and accomplished artists.  The L’Oréal Paris ‘dream team’ includes Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Jane Fonda, Aimee Mullins, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes, Barbara Palvin and Hugh Laurie to name a few.

Megan is one of Australia’s most successful and best known models and personalities.  Her talents are diverse and list of accomplishments outstanding… including celebrated work in modeling, fashion design, acting, television hosting and production.

I cannot wait to see what L'Oreals' new campaigns with Megan will hold, I love seeing her beautiful face, ( I think my partner would also agree haha.)

Tried and Tested: Royal Apothic Hand Cream

What girl doesn’t wish she were a Princess, or even just a member of the Royal family? I know I would dream of becoming a Royal and having everything at my feet (literally.) So this is where I came across Royal Apothic and its real “Royal” Feel.

Recently landed in Australia from the US, Royal Apothic is heralded for its highly sought after fragrances for women and the home. Founder Sean O’Mara was inspired to launch Royal Apothic on finding an 18th century apothecary manual created for European Royalty in a Notting Hill bookstore.

This collection of hand-crafted fragrance, bath, body and home products truly awakens memories and infuses whimsy into everyday life. A single trace of an aroma can instantly unlock a memory or change your mood.

I was invited by the lovely Stephanie to experience the rich past of Europe’s finest era in the form of Royal Apothic. This was an offer I just couldn’t refuse.
The blends that are used are unlike anything you can find in the shops these days and truly are in a league of their own.
I was sent the
Holland Park Hand Crème RRP $27.95
This soft White Floral scent features top notes of Lemon, Magnolia, and Peach, middle notes of Jasmine, Orange Blossom, and Lily of the Valley, over a base of powedery White Musk.
Which when applied to my hands and brought up to my face really reminded me of sitting in my great grandmothers house, which was filled with really old things and lots of fresh flowers. I could even picture our Queen wearing something like this. Or if I ever met her (DREAMING) I would think that this is the scent she would have on.
This is not a scent I would actually wear myself as a perfume or anything, as it is a little bit too old for me. But I am more then happy to use it on my hands and skin. Once it sets into my skin it holds a completely different scent and just gives off a real light floral scent.
The real reason why I will continue to use this cream, even if it is not a preferred scent is because the results I get with my hands. The formula does not leave your hands oily or slimy, but keep them soft and hydrated for longer then most hand creams I have used. I love that my hands are made soft and silky as soon as coming in contact with the thick cream held in the beautifully presented tube.
The tube itself looks like it is straight from the 18th Century and nothing like you see these days. Very plain and simple with an old school print, which I love that they have kept that look going!

National Relaxation Day

Being a full time Mummy and juggling lifes little obstacles can get quite stressful and to be completely honest make me want to pull my hair out at times.. But not today, as today it Relaxation Day and instead of pulling my hair out it has been soaked in Palmolive Naturals Shampoo and Conditioner while drowning in a bath full of bubbles. I did all of this before the kids woke us, as luckily they had a sleep in! And to be honest it is the first time I have ever had a morning bath, and I loved every moment of it.

I was sent an absolutely lovely, very thoughtful packing in the mail a few days ago to help me get through my Relaxation Day as comfortably and relaxed as I can.

The Palmolive Naturals Shampoo and Conditioner, which is the mango extract. This smells divine and is such a Summer smelling product that gives you a taste (or smell) of what is coming in the next few months. It left my hair ok, but is not something I would always use on my dyed hair as I need something with a strong moisture lock, as the peroxide already drains the hydration from my hair. But I really love the smell of this and how long it lasts after washing my hair, also a little bit goes a really long way.

Just before I got out of the bath I stood up and rubbed Palmolive Body Butter Strawberry Smoothie Exfoliating Body Wash. This is absolutely yummy and something I will be using loads more!!! It has these little beads throughout it that take gently exfoliate my dead skin right off, leaving me with fresh, soft skin. I only needed to use 50 cent sized blobs to wash my whole body.

Then when I jumped out of the bath I ran to my hot water bottle, which had been plugged in to see how it was going… Yes you did hear right, I plugged my ELECTRIC hot water bottle in. This is a Skyla Electric Hot Water Bottle and is absolutely amazing. I will never look back to my boiling water hot water bottle anymore!! This takes 15minutes to charge and then you unplug it from the wall, and allow it to work its warming action. And boy oh boy does this baby get hot, I thought I would only achieve this heat with boiling water, but this unlike boiling water does not burn my skin. The Skyla also has a very soft cover over it, which is almost like silk to touch and reminds me of my daughter’s softest stuffed teddy. This has now become Mummies Teddy that she cannot live without.

Now in this pack I was sent some Cold Power Sensitive touch… But thought I would save almost ALL housework for another day, as today is all about pampering ME not my house today!! So I will get back to you on that J When I return into working mode, because today I am relaxed and don’t want to undo all my hard work hehe.

So this was my Relaxation Day, please let me know what you did so I know for next year J For me out day ended in turning our couch into a HUGE bed and brought all our bedding out and watched movies all day (with my Skyla of course.)

August- LUSH Products

Below are some of my favourite products from Lush for the month of August. For as long as I can remember I have always been turning to LUSH and their beautiful natural products for my kids and myself. And I have just found some more products on LUSH's online store that I have to make mine, and share with you. You can have a look at their site here.

Lush Cosmetics has a range of beautiful products that are ideal for new mums and their newborns.
With gentle ingredients and soothing oils, the below items are some of Lush’s global customer favourites for babies, new mums and mums-to-be. Now I am not up the duff just yet, but it is on the cards. My youngest daughter is still my baby, only just turning two I am not ready to get again; YET!
But with saying that my youngest daughter has very sensitive skin, and I don’t stray from anything I wouldn’t use on a newborn as this seems to work best with her skin.

So here are a few Lush products I can’t live without now l have tried them, and to be quite frank I wont live without!!!

Dreamwash shower smoothie ($25.95 for 250g) is a soothing, healing cream body wash that helps reduce redness and works to soften and cleanse the skin. This gentle body wash is ideal for babies as it is full of calming oils, including calamine powder and soothing aloe vera gel, as well as rose absolute, chamomile, tea tree and lavender, all of which have very balancing effects for the skin. Its creamy formulation leaves the skin feeling super soft.

For me this is something completely different, to have a wash/smoothie in a tub. Fair enough I have had creams and balms in a tub but this is a super cute idea, and it is fantastic to store. Plus there is NEVER any shaking the bottle of having it sit upside down so you get every little drop of the product. Lush’s packaging is made from recycled plastic and is fully recyclable afterwards as well. I think they have little promotions on here and there, if you take 6 packaging back they give you something free (at the moment it is a face mask.)
This smells similar to the Dream Cream just with a small difference I cannot get my nose around. Of course they will have slightly different scents, as one is a cream and the other a wash type product.
But for me the huge highlight is the result when using the Dreamwash and teaming it up with the Dream Cream. Not only do my kids and I smell great, I am left with baby skin while the girls baby skin is maintained. Since using these two products together we have never had the problem of dry skin. So this means this product will HAVE to come to QLD on the family holiday to prevent any dry skin.

Dream Cream ($29.95 for 240g)  Lush’s self claimed global best-selling body lotion,  is full of gentle ingredients such as oat milk, chamomile, rose, tea tree and lavender, so is ideal for soothing skin irritations or dryness on newborns.

For me I love the pure natural smell of this and I can really smell the lavender. Having grown up around my Grandma (who is no longer with us) that loved Lavender, for me this is a reminder of her and a smell I really hold close to me. Not only do I use this on my kids and get great results I also use it on myself! The bonus of these products is you get products that are suitable for newborns and sensitive skin, they can be used on any of the family. Whereas if you get an adult product, it is just used for adults because the chances are the ingredients are too harsh for babies and kiddies skin.

Vanilla Puff dusting powder ($10.95) Nappy rash is caused by moisture being close to the skin for too long, causing irritation. A Lush dusting powder can be the perfect way to keep bub dry after a wash and nappy change. Vanilla Puff is an extension of our range of vanilla products, which have become massively popular across the world. A dusting with vanilla, jasmine and tonka results in softer skin that smells like vanilla pudding.  Each pot of 'Puff' has real vanilla pods that infuse as you use it.  Vanilla helps the skin to retain moisture and gives Vanilla Puff its delicious creamy candy fragrance. Vegan.

Now this is my all time favourite product to date!!!! And I am not paid to say this, nor do I feel the need to talk a product up. I am a blogger and a blogger is entitled to their opinion with no need for sugar coating.. What type of blogger would I be if I recommended shity products?
Like I said above no product gets ANY better then this, and I will be stocking up on this for the next bubs. But even before I do that I will be stocking up for both the girls, and I as this is the best smelling product I have put on my skin in the two years of blogging!!
The texture is really lovely and not like your usually body talc or powder, and is so much more safer then either of them!  It actually reminds me of the volume powder you use on your hair, that has been ground right down into the finest powder form.
Using this at nappy time can also be a relief for me, as it rids my daughter’s bottom of both the smell but also dries her skin up giving it a breather. So many benefits and uses in one small bottle, I love it.
I also use this powder on myself as soon as I get out of the shower and all over my body. I have even used it on my partners feet when he gets home as they STINK like nothing you have smelt before.
Honestly and truly, I cannot talk up this product as much as I deserves. This is 100% going to be used until they discontinue or sell out completely.

AND NOW FOR THE MAIN ATTRACTION AND MY KIDS FAV FROM LUSH.......

A few weeks ago I was introduced to a fantastic product FUN, the latest invention from LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. I am actually wondering if this is the only kind of bath product out like this yet (until imposters start following the trend lol.)

FUN ($9.50 for 250g)
FUN is going to revolutionise bath time think a novel, multi-purpose, mouldable soap! It’s for your body, hair, bath and fun! That’s right you can wash your hands and body with it; you can bathe with it for masses of bubbles; you can wash your clothes with it; and for even more fun you can mold it into shapes and characters.
I don’t know who has more FUN with this product, the girls or myself. We were sent a little sample and have had so much fun with the little bugger! My eldest daughter has made snakes, snowmen and even a little ant town with her soap. She has also informed me that this is wayyyy better then playdoh J And Mummy also agrees as it gets me girls clean at the same time.
I have found it quite hard to get the girls to wash their hands for the ten seconds, to remove the majority of the germs and bacteria. But now thanks to LUSH and FUN my job has been made all that much easier. Actually to be honest I find it more of a task to move my 5yo away from the sink and FUN soap. Which I don’t find all that bad as the ingredients made to use this soap are not in any way harsh on their skin.
With a gentle softening base of corn flour, talc and glycerine, There are five different types of FUN to choose from - or why not take them all, as you’ll need one of each color for making your FUN characters. This product, like most of LUSH’S products is Vegan friendly.

YELLOW FUN: Creamy vanilla tones and gardenia extract gives this bundle a comforting marzipan aroma.
GREEN FUN: A citrus burst of tangy lime and lemon essential oils that will make you feel refreshed and focused.
BLUE FUN: Relax and feel ready for sleep when you wash with this mix of lavender and chamomile blue essential oils. The perfect bedtime bath; also great for irritated skin.
RED FUN: A fruity combination of orange and mandarin oils that will revitalize the mind and bring a bit of summer sun to the bath.
We were sent the red FUN to try, and I LOVE the smell. Although I don’t know that it would be my absolute favourite, as I read through these colours and scents I get a little excited and even more eager to head to my LUSH store. But the red, has  a really summery, zesty kind of kick to it. And one I think I will appreciate a whole lot more come the hotter months.
PINK FUN: A sweet treat with ice-cream scented tonka absolute and benzoin resinoid, which also has warming qualities to help stimulate circulation.
Also another thing I feel I need to touch base on is the awesome things LUSH does for the less fortunate. And buying some FUN will provide a little FUN to the less fortunate. They are making it their mission to spread the fun to those who need it most, children living in challenging environments. A portion of the global sales (approximately 2.5%) of FUN will go into a newly created Fun and will be distributed as grants to projects providing recreational activities for children living in difficult surroundings.

FUN is available in all Lush shops nationwide.

Review: STOMP

I left all the glitz and glam at home last night and instead headed off to the junkyard.. Not a real junkyard of course but a junkyard within the Comedy Theatre that was STOMP.  I had really high expectations for this show for some reason, and they lived up to them.

Coming from a person that has two left feet, the beats and rhythm were awesome and had me sitting there tapping either my feet or my hands. It was also really great that the cast got the audience
involved and made them get into it with clapping, clicking, stomping and tapping.

There was a part in the show I had no idea what they were using until about a minute in. Then I realised they were using a matchbox to make what sounded to me loud filing of nails.
In it’s lifetime STOMP has consumed over 50,000 boxes of matches, 30,000 brooms, 20,000 bins, 10,000 drumsticks and 25,000 litres of black paint applied with 737 paint rollers.

STOMP has become a global phenomenon over the last 22 years.  Its universal language of rhythm, theatre, comedy and dance has resonated with audiences throughout the world, setting feet stamping, fingers drumming and adrenalin rushing for over 15 million people in 50 countries across 5 continents

My favourite part of the show would have to have been when the theatre went completely dark and you could not see anything. Then all of a sudden you see little sparks and can smell Zappo fluid. They make beats with the lighter, and all you can see is the lighter flames. This also had many of the audience members in total awe as you could hear the gasps and people whoahing away.

Using the entire set and stage they use so many different things to create music. From bins, brooms, lids, trolleys, buckets and even the kitchen sink. You can tell the guys and girls up on stage love what they are doing, as there is always a smile and a little joke around here and there. I have no idea how they can be so in sync and even pull an amazing beat from it, my brain just could not process.

The only negative about this show was the fact it went for over an hour and a half and how long you went without an intermission. But later I learnt that with shows that go for an hour and a half you often don’t find there is no intermission. You could tell at the lighter part people were getting fidgety and I even heard some moans and sighs from the audience. If there was an intermission that would have been the icing on the cake, but unfortunately there was not.
