Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! Get the Sillies Out.

It’s time to dance, yeah, everybody.. That one line has been going through my head over and over again. Being super lucky to be able to attend the Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! Get the Sillies Out! We shimmied and shook all of the sillies living inside of us out.. We went to the 4:30 show at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne, there were another 2 shows prior to this one. I was actually worried that the cast might be over it by now and not as enthusiastic, but they were anything but. You could tell they loved their job and what they did, especially DJ Lance Rock.

Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE Get the Sillies Out marks the third live tour in Australia for the successful Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! concert series, which just played over 150 shows to 50 cities across the U.S. and sold out major markets for the fourth year in a row.

The show began with DJ Lance saying the three magic words: Yo Gabba Gabba!  DJ Lance’s boom box opened up and the characters came to life. This is basically how the show starts on Nick Jr, with DJ Lance and his Boom box filled with his furry doll friends. Then when he says the magic words the Gabba’s come to life and out to play. They often go on many singing adventures and have lots of fun together.
I will let you know their names and a little about them just for your reference.
Muno- A friendly super cute male red Cyclops, he is the tallest and most lumpy out of all.
Foofa- A female flower bubble who has a white daisy on her head. This was my daughters favourite character but then during the show that changed.
Brobee- He is the smallest and the youngest of all the Gabbas, some may even say he is the baby of the crew. A small green stripey monster that has super long dangly arms.
Toodee- A Blue female arctic cat-dragon who looks nothing like a scary dragon, and in the end turned into my daughters favourite character.
Plex- A male magic yellow robot, who is portrayed to be the smart and basically the leader of the Gabba group, always taking the reigns and leading the team in the right direction.

The one thing I love about Yo Gabba Gabba is they teach children many things through singing and dancing, and they were the ones who actually made my daughter not afraid of the dark and she no longer sleeps with a nightlight.

I found myself singing and dancing along to their songs and really letting my sillies out, I even glanced over to Mr Serious and saw him singing along and tapping his feet. He also joined to sing along and help Hayley get her confidence up. I didn’t think he would like it at all because being a really manly man he is more a man of Gigs, not kids performances but he genuinely had a good time :0)
They also had some very special guests that were actually great Aussie Stars.
They had two singers Dave Rennick and Tim Derricourt from the band Dappled Citites there to perform one of their great songs. That song was Born at the Right Time, I love this song and Matt and I sat there singing away while our kids looked at us like “Hey Mum, Dad this is for kids not you.” If you want to hear this song it can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCnnWlFfYn0

Their Dancey Dance guest was the great comedian Adam Hills. Matt and I actually love watching his clips and videos, and is the only time I really hear a deep down in the tummy kind of laugh from Matt, so he was very excited to see Adam Hill. I do believe the previous shows had other performers and do believe the one before ours had Peter Helliar. Here is the link to Adam Hills site

But Yo Gabba Gabba have had many Dancey Dance guest performances from a range of Australian personalities. Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! special guest bands in Australia in 2011 included Operator Please, Little Red and Art vs. Science, and past Dancey Dance guests have included members of iconic Australian bands Powderfinger, Sneaky Sound System and Spiderbait, Dave “Hughesy” Hughes, Rob Mills, Faustina Agolley, Justine Clark, Merrick Watts, Sophie Lee, Triple J’s Tom and Alex, Nova’s Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald, Dylan Lewis and many others.

There is sadly no more Melbourne Shows left as Yo Gabba Gabba and the team are off to Sydney next where you can catch them under the Big Top at Luna Park.

Saturday 15 June
Big Top Luna Park, Sydney
Show times: 10.30am & 4.30pm
www.bigtopsydney.com
1300 BIG TOP (1300 244 261)
www.ticketmaster.com.au 136 100

If they return to Melbourne next year we will be sure to attend :0) We left there with a silly in our step and a massive show bag in the other. As soon as we got home Miss Hayley dressed up as DJ Lance and danced away.

I would also recommend if you love the Yo Gabba Gabba! crew and especially DJ Lance then it is worth the extra money to buy the VIP ticket. After the show we were allowed to meet DJ Lance and get some snaps of us with him. He is just as lovely and really genuine in real life, even though he had over a hundred people to meet he was more then happy to spark up conversation and cuddle the kids and not just move everybody along. The helpers were actually ushering people on and hurrying DJ Lance up!! This experience (especially for the kids) was one like no other.

L'Oreal Paris Youth Code Serum RRP$39.95

A precious, light-infusing serum developed for women aged 25-35 to help correct dark spots and reveal more even, youthful looking skin.
The Serum is enriched with patented Lumi-GenTM technology to even and illuminate your skin tone.
The word serum sends shivers down my spine, as I always think of oily greasy and pore blocking. My skin can get quite oily with certain products, easily blocking up which leaves me with breakouts. But I have since learnt that the serum’s on the market now aren’t like they were back in the day when labs were still getting the feel for what a serum should be all about. Now I am quite comfortable using them and especially L’Oreal’s! I know my skin is only 23 years old but I still like to maintain it and make sure it can stay looking young for as long as I can.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in 012 Endless Chocolate RRP$19.95
Make a lasting impression without batting an eye.
Infallible Eyeshadows contain ultra concentrated colour pigments, for an intense colour finish and up to 24 hour long-lasting hold.
Immense, endless, breathtaking blue with a myriad of starry glimmers for eyes of exalted strength.

I received one of these in a goodie bag while at LMFF (Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival) and fell in love. The pigment that is in this shadow is unlike any I have owned. I don’t even have to use a primer for this to last well and truly over 24hours. Sometimes in my mummy rush I just quickly remove the foundation off with a wipe and not worry to much about my eye makeup. So when I wake up in the morning my eye shadow has not even moved a little, that’s how much grip this shadow actually has. I am on a mission to make the entire collection mine, and bat them lashes in pride.

L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Cream in Medium RRP$26.95
A breakthrough in BB technology. Micro-pigment capsules that transform and self-adjust to match your skin tone for the perfect nude look.
5 in 1:

- Flawless, ultra-light coverage

- Enhances natural complexion

- Evens skin tone

- 24 hour hydration

- SPF 12 and antioxidants
Ok now I have probably a MASSIVE confession to make in the beauty blogger world… I have never in my life owned let alone used a BB cream, I really didn’t think to much of them when they were a big thing. But after being sent this BB Cream thanks to L’Oreal I was absolutely ashamed that I have never used one before!! This product is just perfect, and  I love that I don’t have to apply foundation every single day just to make my skin look nice. It is a funny little product as it goes on slippery and very wet, but once you allow it to dry it sets to your skin perfectly. It also looks like a pastey white colour out of the bottle but when applied to your skin it magically matches your tone and evens your tone out. It really does make your skin tone completely even and looking nice and fresh. I have almost kissed my foundation goodbye and only wear it now when I am going out to an event or need that extra coverage.

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Made-For-Me Intense Lipstick in 374 Deep Raspberry RRP$25.95
L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Made-For-Me Intense Lipstick in 375 Intense Plum RRP$25.95
Finding the perfect shade of lipstick can be a real challenge. That's why L'Oréal Paris have made it easy with their 'Made for Me' make-up range. Each lip shade has been expertly designed to suit every woman's natural colouring from blondes to brunettes and fair to dark skin tones, each has their choice of shades for the perfect match

Aww since doing my One A Day In May, I cannot leave the house without a lippy on I feel almost naked. So when these were sent to me I was super excited to get them on my lips! I actually love the Deep Raspberry so much that I will be wearing it to a wedding in a few weeks, and have bought my outfit based around what my makeup looks like rather then the other way around. The Colour Riche Made-For-Me Intense Lipstick is actually really creamy and smooth when applied to my lips. Today I was applying a lipstick on my lips for my One A Day In May project and the lipstick was so dry and hard to apply it actually split my lower lip. And for any lady out there they know that pain, it is like a paper cut to the lip and really does bring a tear to the eye!

Deep down inside I will always be a big kid and the child in me will pop its head out here and there. I love being a mummy because it means I can get away watching all those kids shows and movies as well as playing along with the kids. When the first monsters Inc came out I was obsessed buying the plush teddies and of course the DVD. So my kids have grown up with the DVD and now my eldest daughter Hayley is super excited for the new Monsters In coming out very soon. I know I have small feet only being a size 6 and am very tempted to see if the larger kids size thongs.  I cannot wait to get these babies on Hayley’s feet, they will be perfect for QLD.

Brought to you by Cold Power, the smart detergent brand you know and love, Cold Power Sensitive Touch is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested and is free from perfumes to ensure sensitive skin remains free from irritation.
Providing a thorough clean, without a complicated routine, it’s as simple as placing the recommended dosage into your laundry load and letting it get to work. Not only does it work best in cold water, which in turn saves you energy and cost, it provides reliable results with minimum fuss – you’ve got to love that!
Cold Power Sensitive Touch,
RRP $14.99 Cold Power Sensitive Touch is available in powder and liquid, Top Loader and Front Loader, (2KG, 2L) in supermarkets across the country .

This powder has the lightest clean fresh smell to the product, so if you are one that likes making your clothes smell nice you may want to consider a softener. But with doing that you may as well just buy a normal powder as it would take away the sensitive touch side of things.
My eldest daughter Hayley’s skin can be quite delicate at times and could turn sensitive in a flash. And when it decides to be sensitive it will stay this way for a week or sometimes more. So I take every precaution I can which will include, no soap in the bath, no bubbles and of course making sure I try my hardest to wash her clothes in something gentle on her skin, I have found myself at times not using any detergent in the washing machine at all.
But now I don’t have to worry about that at all, I have Cold Power’s Sensitive touch to help my little Hayley’s skin. I can only speak highly of this products ability to clean and get my whites super white and my colours nice and bright.  I love this product and it will continue to live in my laundry.

These products are a heaven send for me being a blogger and trying new nail products all the time. Not to mention whenever I attend a show or event I like to mix my nails up and a lot of time I like to include glitter. For me glitter is the hardest to remove and alway do a acetone foil wrap, which is super harsh on my nails.

King Kong the Stage Show

The Scene was set in New York on the steel beam construction site, where there was a hunt underway for a sexy blonde with all the right curves. I thought for a minute there that I had actually been taken back to the 1930’s with all the costumes right on par for that era.

Being the fashionista I am, I was sitting there ogling off the outfits and sussing out the shoes. There was plenty of glitz and glam and the costumes were amazing. One in particular was the greek goddess style dress that Ann wore. It has strips of bling on it that were beautiful, it is something I would have loved to have worn to my deb to be honest with you :p

From the beginning I was on the edge of my seat just waiting to be greeted by Kong. But before I could meet the giant ape my eyes were greeted to a super cute little monkey puppet named Ignatz. The movements that were made my Ignatz puppeteers were so life like and so super adorable.

The actual stage to me was made to look like the empire state building and really did do the job throughout the show and was only brought to life at the end when Kong climbs the tower and that’s when it really ties into the show.

The 50-strong Australian cast of actors, singers, dancers, circus performers and puppeteers is led by Esther Hannaford (Hairspray) as Ann Darrow, newcomer Adam Lyon as Carl Denham, Chris Ryan (Thyestes) as Jack Driscoll, veteran stage actor Richard Piper as Captain Engelhorn and the queen of musical theatre and cabaret, Queenie van de Zandt as Cassandra.

The singing by every single one of these actors is phenomenal I found myself at times sitting there with my eyes close just to listen to the purity of their voices. I would have loved to have bought a King Kong soundtrack.. but unfortunately this is about the only thing you cannot buy from the show.
Based on the novel of the original 1933 screenplay, the stage show of KING KONG is a modern take on the classic tale of beauty and the beast. This timeless love story hits the Melbourne stage as the world marks the 80th anniversary of the original Merian C. Cooper King Kong movie.
Synopsis
King Kong tells of a hollywood director, Carl denham, who takes his crew on a perilous journey to the last uncharted place on earth, skull island, to capture a huge prehistoric creature, the last of his kind – Kong. The love affair between Denham’s star, Ann Darrow, and the ship’s first mate, Jack Driscoll, unfolds against the burgeoning horror of Kong’s ultimate escape.

I did get a little bit confused when the crew landed on Skull Island as there were these non-human creatures dancing and chanting. It looked as if the leader of this gang had blood stained hands.

Now for the main star of this show.. KING KONG! This is what I had been waiting for the entire show, meeting King Kong on that stage and seeing what this beast really looked like; and boy oh boy was it worth the wait. It was actually on Skull Island where Ann was hanging up on some ropes, Kong came in to smell her out and I actually think she was made to be his next meal, but that didn’t end up happening at all. At this point you did not get to see the real workings of Kong as he was set in a shadow and you could only see his face. It wasn’t until late on that you got to be blown away at just how lifelike this gorilla was and his movements were so realistic. The one thing I could not believe was the facial movement of King Kong, you really felt his pain when he was hurting. I couldn’t believe how easily they made a 6 metre, 1.1 tonne ape moved around the stage.Kong is entirely Melbourne-made. Here are a few facts on the super sized Ape
inside Kong there are 300 metres of electrical cable, 1,500 connections and 16 microprocessors. he has his own on-board hydraulic power with a liquid cooled quiet pump.
the automation structure (made and run by uK company stage technologies) holding Kong from the gantry weighs approximately 22 tonnes.
Alongside his animatronic core, Kong has a team of puppeteers (King’s Men) involved in his operation.
the detail of Kong’s facial expression is delivered by 15 industrial servo motors (same ones as used in nAsA Mars rovers) all controlled in real time by the off-stage ‘voodoo’ puppet operators.

The second half was a lot better then the first, and I think this is due to the fact that you see King Kong a lot more. There was also a lot more lighting work and special effects. The most effective thing they used would have been slow motion. Especially at the end when Kong was being shot at, I was left holding my breath hoping that Kong could just hang on and that Ann would not be hurt. At the end of the show when Kong dies I actually had a tear brought to my eye as you can feel the pain that Kong is going through.
It was a standing ovation for me and I was left in ore after the show. Ticket prices:

SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW STORMS INTO AUSTRALIA
Internationally acclaimed spectacle comes to Comedy Theatre, Melbourne
The multi award-winning international sensation SLAVA’S SNOWSHOWstorms into Australia for a limited season playing at Comedy Theatre, Melbourne from 17 July to 28 July 2013.  Tickets on sale Monday 25 February

Since its creation by renowned Russian clown Slava Polunin in 1993, SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW has played to millions of people in more than 30 countries and 120 cities including New York, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro and Moscow. The show comes to Australia in 2013 following a second sell-out Winter season in London and is already confirmed to return to London for its third year this Christmas.

If you want to have a little sneak peek of the show in Sydney I am sure you will be blown away and will want to attend. Just by looking at this clip, I have never seen a show incorporate and involve the audience into a show before.

The “clowns” in this are also not your average Joe always smiling with over done makeup. They actually look quite cute and of course have the Cirque du Soleil look to them with the very detailed outfits and costumes.

I have been to quite a few of the Cirque du Soleil shows and have fell in love over and over again. So when I found out Slava Polunin created his Snowshow following his sensational performance as part of Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria, drawing on the influence of artists such as Charlie Chaplin, Marcel Marceau and Leonid Engibarov. I was super excited and just knew that this show was one I just had to see.  He and his company of clowns have taken clowning out of the world of circus, and brought it into the theater.  SLAVA’S SNOWSHOWis a fusion of traditional and contemporary theatrical clowning arts, and a beautifully crafted visual spectacle.

Applicator Tampon thanks to U by Kotex Review

Ok, so I know this is the time of month where men MAJORLY freak out – so best look away, you may get a little squeamish and this might come across as a little too much information. I would suggest any mummy or women out there who doesn’t like to talk about that time of the year and especially use fem-care products, to keep reading!!!

So this is where this review begins, and I hope that by sharing this with you ladies, it might open your eyes to a great product:

Applicator Tampon thanks to U by Kotex

When it comes to periods I only ever usually use pads because I hate the thought of popping my fingers in where blood is coming out and it just really doesn’t sit nicely with me. I know I have given birth naturally to two beautiful girls but this whole blood out of you hoohaa. I also hate using pads though because I get really heavy periods at times I can just feel it building up much more then it should be an sometimes to much for a pad. Ok, enough grossing you ladies out I think I am going to make myself squirmish.
But I would love to send a MASSIVE thank you to U by Kotex for supplying me with such an amazing product, which will literally change my life.
And that product is U by Kotex Applicator Tampons
U by Kotex Applicator Tampons product features
U by Kotex® Applicator Tampons are designed to be sooooo easy to use – with all the protection you need in a super chic and comfortable design. The combination of Perfect Touch Grip and smooth tip makes for easy and accurate placement.
·Unique soft grip; easy to grip and use for accurate placement
·Smooth, tapered tip; quick and easy insertion

·Individually wrapped & slim, so perfect to carry about in your clutch/bag or purse.

I don’t know that I will be using pads anymore while at home during the day. These products are just so great and so easy to use. I have two young girls, and I know that they are far off having periods or any of that but I know when they do I will certainly be letting them know about these. This is the most hygienic way to insert a tampon.

For me it has put my mind at ease when it comes to worrying about what germs are coming in contact with my vaj-j.  When I was younger and at school (which is when I had to use tampons.) I made my mum buy surgical gloves to that I could wear them whenever I had to insert a tampon. I even took them to school so that I would never actually have to come in contact with my period or pass any germs on.

We are excited to introduce a gift set that will make you look and feel as gorgeous as a star! The exclusive Celebrity Picks Gift Set contains a selection of products that are popular amongst our celebrity followers.

Éminence Celebrity Picks Gift Set
(RRP$36.00)
Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum 15ml
For all skin types, especially dehydrated

Blueberry Soy Exfoliating Cleanser 60ml
For normal to dry skin types

Now I am only a young mummy being just 23 years of age and don’t have a wrinkle on my face (sorry to rub it in ladies.) But I like to use products nice and early to help maintain my young skin. I do not believe that anti-aging products should be used at an older age to undo all the wrinkles and old skin look. Why not start early before they appear and to help maintain your young supply skin.
I love these products thought as they smell almost edible, especially the Strawberry Rhuburb Hyaluronic Serum so much so that I had to lick my finger after applying just to see. But let me tell you this stuff certainly is not edible :/ its quite horrible haha. The best way to describe the smell of this product is freshly made strawberry jam, delicious and perfect for Winter.

But I love both of these products and will go on to buy the full size products. But for now these two product will certainly be coming with me on my trip to QLD they are the perfect size for travel. My skin just glows and is so moisturised after it.

BAMBOODLE (BAMBOO CANDLE)
Small$16.00 Large $20.00
I am a huge sucker for candles and these tick all the boxes. To start with the wax has been poured straight into the shoot of bamboo. Such a great look for my home, which I am looking to achieve the Balinese/Islander kind of look to the home.
They come in 3 different scents, which are:
 Coconut and Lime
Vanilla Raspberry
Frangipani
And then you can choose from three different colours; White, Blue, Purple
I was sent the Vanilla and Raspberry candle in white to review. Firstly I fell in love with the island smell and reminded me of my trip to New Zealand for some reason. The candle has been burnt four times now for about 3 hours each time and is still going strong. I thought after the flame went down a little it wouldn’t look as good, but it still looks great. The only thing is the fact it does loose a lot of light and becomes much more dimmer.
I will be buying these for upcoming housewarming gifts as I am sure my friends and family will love them just as much as I do.

I wish there was such think as a Swisspers Tree

I have found a product that any nail or makeup lover NEEDS. You know how you can now buy the remover pens to get rid of that extra polish that landed on your cuticles? Well these are the same price 100. All you need to do is dip it in the nail polish remover then easily remove any access polish.

SWISSPERS DUAL COSMETIC TIPS 100'S

Swisspers Dual Cosmetic Tips have a unique 'dual tip' shape, with a pointy end on one side and a flattened end on the other. This makes it easier to apply and remove your make-up, especially when it comes to those delicate areas around the eyes and lips.

The reason for me getting these though is for the simple fact that I hate removing my makeup near my eyes with the wipes, as I always tend to get it in my eyes.  They are also really handy when I put liner on the top of my eye and blink a little making the line all wonky, and stuffing the whole thing up. The end of the bud with the thin point is great to dip in makeup remover and they just correct the eye and blend the shadow back in.
As stated above these are also perfect to remove the excess polish away from your cuticles and give you that perfect mani. I have also used these to create a cute polkadot mani, the tip made perfect little dots on my nails :)

I love all things Swisspers and really do wish I had an endless supply, but sadly they don’t make Swissper Trees :0( For example here is my 2nd packet of round cotton pads from Swissper that I use to removed my nail polish and also that hard to remove eye makeup.  I love these and this is one product I cannot live without EVER. I literally always carry them around with me or pop some in the baby bag just incase.

SWISSPERS MAKE-UP PADS 80'S
Specially designed to make your beauty routine easier, Swisspers round make-up pads are ideal for removing and applying your make-up, lotions, nail polish and cleanser. Made from 100% cotton, their quilted surface ensures that they're ultra soft, absorbent, hygienic and don't leave any messy fibres behind. What's more, their sealed edge means they're easy to remove from pack, while their strong fibres prevent tearing.

World War Z is certainly a MUST SEE

Last night was a very rare Mummy and Daddy date night, anybody that has kids can relate when I say it is rare to spend time alone. But we were lucky enough to sneak away and use some old Christmas Gold Class voucher we were given.

We heard all the rave and talk up about World War Z, so my partner and I decided we would go and see it Now normally I am not the zombie type and I honestly have not watched a zombie movie in my life and it has never interested me. I will be honest in saying the only reason I went to see this movie was to see Mr Brad Pitt on the big screen. We took it to the next level as well and went and saw the movie in 3D. I can’t believe how far the movies have come these days and how well the 3D effects are.
But this movie was extraordinary and wasn’t one of them corny all gore zombie movies, it was actually realistic and even made me say to my partner ‘I wonder if that could actually happen here in our time.’

The special effects are what did it for me and it was super realistic, and very detailed. And in 3D you really feel that you are apart of the movie and standing by watching everything unfold in front of your eyes.

There were a few parts during the movie that really made me jump and got the heart pumping.. And I will warn you if you are going to ask the gold class waiters to bring you some food half way to not come at a scary part. I ordered my partner and I a choc top half way through the movie and the waiter came just as it was at an intense zombie part. I almost screamed the cinema down and if the chair did not have a back I would have been on the floor. I was almost ready to karate chop that women into the next year, gosh it scared the living daylights out of me!
DON’T EVER SNEEK UP ON A WOMEN WATCHING A SCARY ZOMBIE MOVIE.

But with my last statement its not a FULL ON scary movie where you have to hide behind your pillow in fear, but more a jump out of your skin here and there movie.

I don’t want to be a spoiler but the story line to this movie is amazing. I would recommend this movie to anybody going to the cinemas and rate it a 4 and a half stars

Pilot Pens

My blogger life has been made so much easier thanks to Pilot and their beautiful range of pens. I especially like the Begreen range because I don't feel as guilty as I do when using or throwing away normal pens... And then for my daughter who is 5 I LOVE the Frixion Range as it can easily be removed with a little friction. These aren't all that Pilot have, there is a massive range online here.

BEGREEN RANGE

Pilot has launched a full range of recycled writing instruments called BegreeN. These consist of the same famous Pilot pens you are used to but in a recycled version, as well as new and innovative products that you have never seen before.

Helping the planet doesn't have to cost much as the BegreeN range are the same price as the standard range equivalent. The BegreeN range of environmentally friendly writing instruments allows you to make your own contribution to being environmentally friendly.  I love that there are pens that now help the environment, although I don’t think I have ever used a pen right to the end. But then if I think about it, loosing a pen I am sure somebody else will pick it up and use it or throw it in the rubbish. So no matter the situation the environment is better off.
The Pilot BegreeN range is made from a minimum of 70% recycled materials reclaimed from manufacturing.

I don’t think any other pen can compare to the way a Pilot pen writes, and how much of a smooth task it is. I love the fact that when I have used all of these pens they work as soon as the ball touches the paper, there is no need to scribble away until the ink comes out. There is also never a hiccup and the ink just writes perfectly without any breaks. The range is massive and there will be a pen for every situation and in any colour you may need. Being a blogger pens are a big part of my job and helps me immensely. I often write down little notes as I am trialing and reviewing products, and now I never have to shuffle through the house looking for a pen.

FRIXION RANGE

Pilot Frixion - the erasable range

Erases cleanly by friction generated heat, leaving no debris. If you make a mistake simply use the silver ball tip to erase. Rewrite immediately over your correction.

The range consists of the Frixion Ball, which is great for students and Frixion Light, the erasable highlighter.

The Frixion Ball is available in 9 colours while the Frixion Light comes in 6.

I will advise as Pilot did with me, it is suggested that you do not use these on legal documents. When these arrived to me for trial I was actually picking my jaw off the ground and having so much fun. I could not believe that I could easily remove the ink or marker straight off the paper.  My favourite of this range is:
Pilot Frixion Light - the erasable highlighter
The erasable Pilot Frixion Light is a unique highlighter with a chisel tip, perfect for everyday use at work, home or school. With no damage to the paper, you can easily erase your highlighted sections.

The friction-generated heat caused when rubbing the paper with the special tip turns the ink invisible.

Colour Ink: Ink matches barrel colour. Available in yellowpinkgreenviolet, orange and blue

I often mark off those products and items that have been posted on my blog. Sometimes I make a mistake and then I can often forget that I have not even review the product as it is marked as posted. Now it really doesn’t matter if I make a mistake now as it can easily be fixed.
I will certainly be buying this range for my daughter to take to school next year, they are very easy to use and great for the little ones.  I will add some photos of swatches and how these pens work below and I know you will also be amazed and probably jump in the car or shop online to get your mits on them.

ARDELL Complete Brow Defining Kit review

Sometimes when I go out my eyebrows need that little boost and pick me up. I also like to use something to fill my brows when I know that my face will be photographed so my brows look full and the same as each other.  My brows are quite dark, so if they do not look the same as each other then it really does stand out and annoy me quite a lot.

So this is where I found:

ARDELL Complete Brow Defining Kit.
Price: $24.95rrp

Take brows from plain to fabulous in no time! Ardell Brow Defining Kit includes:
·       ·  Brow Palette with three colours to custom blend the most natural shade and highlighter to enhance brows
·       ·  Duo Brow Brush that allows precise powder application
·       ·  Brow Grooming Pencil to set brows all day

The one thing I do like about this product is that there are four different shades and can suit many different eyebrow colours. For my brows I have to use the darkest brown shade which is almost black but not quite. Usually when using something like this I have to aim for a charcoal colour as it tends to make my brows look like I have applied a deep red liner to my brows. But this dark brown really does work for mine and I do like it a lot.  The only thing is you have to get it right as there are no stencils, but I just used ones I have had from another pack!

It is so easy to use-
Application:
1.     1)  BLEND: Choose brow colours to create your perfect brow shade. Fill in the brow using the slanted end of your duo brow brush
2.     2)  GROOM: Apply wax grooming pencil to perfectly set brows
3.     3)  HIGHLIGHT: Finally apply the highlighter along the brow arch and blend outward to lift and accentuate the eyes.
Key Benefits
·       ·  Create defined, beautiful brows with this all-in-one compact
·       ·  Darkens & enhances eyebrows
·       ·  Perfectly arched eyebrows
·       ·  Applies easily

Happy Lamb Rocking Creature

  Plastic Rocking Base and handles
Soft plush finish for extra comfort(which is super soft and very easy to clean, although we sprayed our with some Scotchguard just in case.)
  Comfortable easy grip handles

This adorable little sheep arrived on our doorstep not to long ago and since then it has been used everyday, my daughter has even tried to take it into the bath with her.
One main thing I love about this is the handles and the rocking legs are made out of plastic, which in my opinion is much safer with falls as it is softer. Also the reason why I had to get rid of my other rocker was because of the fact that the rocker legs were made of wood. Madison was teething and crawled her way around the home and used to always chew on the legs, to the point where I found splinters in her mouth so in the bin it went.
My daughter is two and started walking at a very young age (9months) and I have had to accommodate her very active needs for a while now and only wished that I had found this early she would have loved being able to climb on this and rock away. But with saying that, the age she is now is just perfect for this toy though as she will just sit there rocking away watching her tv.
It was quite funny thought, because the other night we were sitting watching tv and Madison just would not budge off that rocker, she would scream as soon as I tried to remove her so I let her go. Next thing I know the rocking has stopped and I see two little arm dangling down the side of the sheep. She fell asleep on the sheep resting her head on the sheeps head. I wish I had taken a photo as it would have made for a great piece.

I did jump online though and there is an elephant made out of wood and a SUPER cute Hungry Caterpillar, which would be my favourite. I have actually been into Target and got really clucky over all the cute hungry caterpillar range that is there from clothing to nursery products. It makes me want to really go and have a boy, if only it was that easy!!

We will be keeping this ba ba white sheep for all of our kids and I am hoping the next is a boy so we can create a farm or catepillar themed nursey, enough pink for me I think :p

Legally Blonde the Musical meet and greet with some of the cast

OH MAH GAWD GUYS I told you I just could not get enough of that fierce blonde show also known as Legally Blonde.
Being invited to see Legally Blonde again was a real honour and an offer I just could not pass up, even if I had to be “sick” (uhum!)  I am so glad I did because this show just amazes me and really has me bopping and singing along. Who would have thought that Lucy Durack who plays Elle Woods can make getting down on one knee and proposing so damn hot?! I was busting for the toilet but I could not move from my seat, I was just so drawn to the show and loved the glitz and glam. The dress Lucy wears at the end saying goodbye to the audience was absolutely stunning and full of bling.
I find it so hard to detach from the show and feel Elle’s pain and heart break so much even though I adore Millsy(Warner) when I watched the show for the first time I wanted to kick him in the family jewels for breaking Lucy (Elle's) heart!! But of course I had to leave my emotions at the seat my bottom was on as after all it is only a show :0P and a show I adore.
We got to meet the some of the main men of the show and have some food and bevs with them before the show. This was my chance to break the ice and make conversation with the man that I have had a celeb crush on since the days of watching Carols by Candlelight. Of course I am talking about Robert Mills, and his big bright smile. Buttttttt unfortunately for me Rob called in sick at the last minute and I wasn’t able to meet and which was quite devastating. But then my eyes laid upon David Harris and I forgot all about Millsy (Sorrrry)
Then of course I got to speak to the very talented Cameron Daddo, who for is age is very easy on the eyes (even for a youngen.) Both are very friendly, lovely and genuine men. I could have stayed there all day and kept chatting away to them but unfortunately they had a show to be apart of.
I was also wondering what is on their fore heads during the show and thought maybe that her wig may have been falling off, but it was actually tiny little microphone which I found was pretty cool.
The songs are super catchy and even as I am writing this review I am sitting here singing the line “Oh my gawd oh my gawd you guys.” And “ I got a chip on my shoulder hmm hmm mm.” I am actually quite upset with myself that I did not make a little spot into the merchandise stand to buy the CD recording and a few other things, but it was just to crowded and that did put me off a little bit. The toilet line kind of came right across the shop and there were also a whole heap of school kids standing around, so I didn’t want to have to push through etc, etc.

Of course I could know go to this show without a little pink on so I decided to get my pink nails on with the help of OPI and ORLY. I decided I would go the Trademark Pink using
ORLY- BASKET CASE (Hot Pink)
O.P.I- Chic From Ears To Tail  (Light Pink)
O.P.I- Piroutte My Whistle (Silver Glitter)

The amount of compliments I received on my mani was overwhelming and actually made me feel quite proud that I did it all by myself. I will be wearing this mani again and my daughter actually has BASKET CASE on her nails as well speak :0)

The understudy that took Robs place in playing Warner was absolutely perfect and having watched the show before with Rob playing the part you can hardly tell the difference. He was very good and also like Rob very easy on the eyes and ears.

I would recommend this show to everyone and know I will be BACK!! But I am super sad to announce that the show has actually been cut short due to the fact that ticket sales have not been as expected and they can afford to run the show for longer. I don’t know how this show does not fill the Princess Theatre each and every show, I loved it.. Although I don’t think I could ever drag my partner along so it really is a certain target audience show. The show will now only run until July 14th here in Melbourne.

Leapfrog LeapReader

My daughter Hayley is 5 years on and a complete sponge, always wanting learn and just gets smarter each and everyday. So when I was given the opportunity to review the LeapReader I was very excited.

LEAPFROG LEAPREADER The First Ever Reading and Writing System Read. Write. Listen.
RRP $99.99ea
Suitable for kids aged 4-9 years, LeapFrog’s LeapReader is available from major department stores and independent toy retailers across Australia from 15 June 2013
LeapReader helps your child learn to build reading
fundamentals, sound out words, read sentences and trace letters.
But now that my daughter has the LeapReader I have already been given a shopping list on the new tracing paper and books that she wants to add to her collection. But how can I say no? She’s only wanting to learn so I am more then happy to buy her these and allow her brain to take in all the educational information.
Now that my youngest daughter who is turning 2 next month has seen Hayley playing the LeapReader she is eager to learn and have a go and she has been which is really good.
I love that you can also turn the volume up or down. When my daughter goes to bed she’s aloud to read a book and turns her pen down so it isn’t to noisy but then when she is up she can turn it as loud as she likes, and this thing does get loud!!
You also do not need batteries, so that saves you some extra cash. All you have to do is plug the USB cord in that you  receive with the LeapReader and it charges then reader up and also the LeapReader will automatically engage the Connect site and update your child’s information so parents can check on their child’s learning progress.
I was wondering how on Earth this smart little pen knows how to read or project whatever I am writing on  so I had to do some research and find out how the LeapReader works and here is what I found.
With a miniature camera built into the tip of the pen which recognises dots embedded on the pages. The content is converted into the audio which has been downloaded onto the pen for that book. Each book has over 500 touch points which are interactive.
Then I also wondered how it wrote on the tracing paper and thought maybe it may have been some kind of magnetic tip or something. But again I didn’t know for certain and HAD to know, here is what makes this amazing product write.
The paper in the learn to write books is pressure paper that has ink
bubbles between the layers which burst as the child writes their letters
and creates the pencil-like marks on the page for them to see. By
pressing down on the paper with the LeapReader, children are able to
write, using the pre-printed gridlines as a guide. Thus, mess-free writing! The LeapReader is unable to write on any other surface. The LeapReader uses the camera to record how the child creates each stroke of the letters/numbers.

Bundoora Park Children's Farm

Last night my sister stayed the night with us and had a cute little sleep over :0) mind you my sister is 17. We were talking over what we could do tomorrow (today) and just didn’t know what to do. Not wanting to spend to much as were really saving up for a couple of holidays we have coming up and also have the entire school holiday’s ahead of us.
Waking up this morning we still had no idea on what we should do so I quickly jumped on the MacBook to see if there was any last minute options. That is where I found Bundoora Park Children’s Farm. For starters Bundoora is literally around the corner from us and I had no idea a farm existed.   So I was quite excited to see if this was any good and I would make this a regular visit. My kids love farms and animals so this was almost better then the Zoo for them.

About a month ago we went to the Collingwood Childrens farm, but I was very disappointed and it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. It was literally a little farm plonked in the city, although I would love to go to one of their markets to see what they were all about. But Bundoora Park Children’s Farm was AWESOME.

My kids were able to hold and pat rabbits as well as guinea pigs. And as we entered the Bunny shed there was a lovely fella named Billie who greeted us with a “Allo” of course Billie is a cockatoo and a very friendly one at that. During our time in the bunny shed we heard Billie mock the squeaks of the guinea pigs. You can also buy any of the bunnies you see in the cage for only $20- they are already so used to people and love being cuddled.

Then the next thing we went on to do is head to the barn and hand feed the baby animals. My daughters fed a bottle to both kids (baby goats) and also a cute little lamb. They are very hungry but at the same time very friendly, I even snuck a little feed in.

You can also go around and see the many other farm animals that are there such as pigs, sheep, chooks, alpacas, cows, kangaroos and more.

If you want to as well you can pay a mere $3 and have a pony ride, or $3 for a tractor ride around the massive farm. And if that is not enough there is a HUGE adventure playground there and also a smaller one for the little kiddies.

We will be returning and this time we shall have a picnic in hand. And I have also decided that for my daughters 5th birthday we will be heading to Bundoora Park as it is massive and has lots of different  playgrounds and rotundas with chairs and BBQ’s.

MMMmm Yonanas

Usually when going shopping for fruit I will stray away from those bananas that are starting to brown and bruise and head for the slightly green ones. But on this shopping trip I was on the hint for brown bananas, and the reason for that is so I could test out the amazingyonanas that was sent to me. I also picked up a punnet of strawberries to throw in the mix as well.
The YONANAS priced at $79.95 RRP.

So what is the Yonanas?
It’s compact. It’s easy to clean. It’s reasonably priced and wait for it … it makes a frozen dessert that has almost no calories.

The magic ingredient in a Yonanas dessert? Frozen fruit. That’s it. No eggs. No sugar. No nasties. Just frozen fruit.

You can use nearly any frozen fruit including strawberry and bananas, mango and pineapple or even choc mint but the list of possible creations is only limited by your imagination. And the best thing? Your kids will think they’re eating ice cream and your waistline won’t make any complaints.

Our first batch we made was just plain banana’s and that went down an absolute treat so we then added some strawberries in there to mix things up and it got even better!

So how do you use the yonanas?

First your start with freezing you fruit, whatever suits you will be find to throw in the freezer. You could also buy the already frozen fruit from supermarkets, my favourite is the frozen berry mix.
I will however warn all my lovely readers out there wanting to use banana’s that when you freeze your banana’s it is best to peel them first, I made the rookie mistake of popping the banana’s in whole and when they came out I could not peel them (*derrr*)

Then you turn the machine on with the little switch on the side and pop the fruit in the top. And let the yonanas do all the hard work.  The texture of the mix is really hard to describe, it is almost like frozen yogurt and that’s the best way I can describe it. Sometimes it can taste a little watered down and this is due to the fact that you need to pop your fruit in a zip lock back when freezing to keep the ice crystals away as much as possible.

The yonanas is so super easy to clean and takes little effort at all. You just remove the top section and then get rid of any of the excess frozen fruit by scraping it with a cake mix scraper or anything else you have.  Then all I did was squirt a dot of dishwashing liquid on each of the pieces and rinse them under hot running water; and you’re done.

I cannot wait to use the yonanas in Summer or the hotter months as this will be a live saver both for cooling me down AND keeping a close eye on the weight gain, after all I cant look chubby in my bikini this Summer :0)

Yonanas is stocked at Target, Harvey Norman, Matchbox, Kambo’s and Myer.  Go towww.yonanas.com.au for more info or to order online.
